Round Up for The Food Project!

We believe in proactive partnerships that lift our community. We know that when everyone works together, we can make a difference. In that spirit, we will add (and match) fifty cents to each check as a donation to U Empower of Maryland, and its flagship program: The Food Project (a youth and resource center in Southwest Baltimore City that provides a safe space for teenagers, education about food systems and healthy eating, provides meals to 500 local residents every week, offers job training and placement programs, houses and nurtures local social enterprises, and provides mental health and mentorship programs). .

Support GMO Labeling in Maryland!

GMOs (genetically modified organisms) are more prevalent in American foods than in any other country in the world. While we encourage everyone to do their own research about GMOs and whether they are worth the potential health risks, We strongly support the GMO Labeling movement. People certainly have the right to know what is in their food so they can make their own informed decisions. Info and action steps can be found at Just Label It, Right To Know, and Need To Know.
